ISQ in clinical practice: providing individualised treatment to optimise patient outcomesWith demand for implant treatment increasing along with patient expectations, practitioners are treating an increased number of patients with increased risk profiles. Implant stability, wound healing and osseointegration are critical in the early phase of implant treatment and essential for long-term success.
Assessing and tracking implant stability quotient (ISQ) values at implant placement and through the early phases of healing allows the practitioner to individualise treatment protocols and healing time for each individual patient. The lecture will review the ISQ as it relates to implant stability, wound healing and osseointegration and how to interpret and apply ISQ values when treating patients.
Learning objectives:
- Understand the importance of implant stability, wound healing, and osseointegration in the early phase of implant treatment and their impact on long-term success.
- Learn the procedures and work flow for assessing and tracking ISQ values at implant placement and during the early phases of healing.
- Interpret and apply ISQ values when treating patients to individualise treatment and loading protocols for each patient.
