Do You ISQ? Everyone Should
Implant dentistry has become mainstream dentistry to successfully replace missing single teeth, or to support full-arch restorations. State-of-the-art imaging modalities and treatment planning software provide clinicians with an accurate assessment of potential implant receptor sites for successful free-hand or guided surgery, yet used alone, may not be accurate in predicting when an implant can be loaded, or diagnose the health of a previously placed implant. Insertion torque values have been widely accepted as an indicator for implant stability however, these are highly subjective and may lead to premature loading. Resonance frequency analysis (RFA) and implant stability quotient values (ISQ) have been proven to provide objective measures at time of placement, and can monitor the progress of osseointegration over time.
This Webinar will address the significance and importance of acquiring ISQ values for a variety of clinical presentations.
Participants will learn:
- Importance of 3-D imaging to assess implant receptor sites
- Immediate or delayed loading decision tree with ISQ
- ISQ as medical-legal documentation for patient records
- Tracking implant health with ISQ and Osstell Connect
